I need cash for down payment. I’ve heard people selling gold by mailing in. Doesn’t sound possible to me to send off valuables to an unknown person and get desired outcome, that’s why I’m asking here. I haven’t seen buyers coming to my area to buy gold, that sort of thing. Take it to a couple of jewelers in your local area that advertise buy or sell. Get a few quotes and compare offers. You will likely get a much better price from them — esp. if it is nice jewelry. Plus you don’t have to worry about scams or theft.
