Can copper be turned into gold by ordinary chemical means?

Hi,

I know that copper can be turned to gold through nuclear reactions, but it only fomrs a radioactive/unstable isotope this way. This question is referring to alchemy being possible or not.

  2. No. Alchemy was a precedent for modern chemistry, but elements do not change without nuclear reactions.

  3. For more than few seconds.
Gold molecules stable enough to remain intact for more than few seconds.

  4. The electron shells of atoms the copper to the electron shells of atoms the nucleus and that can ever under any circumstances ever change lead nucleus of removing three protons to purchase some means only through nuclear reactions btw liked jerry lees answer collect.
