i think their memory is greater than that…..when i go and feed my fish they always see me and come to the suface, because they know they’re getting fed, and they know to come to the one corner when i feed them, so i think thats just myth….
no scientists have now done a study that has proven that a goldfish memory lasts three months and then it refreshes itself and it starts to learn again.

Gold fish retain some fish retain memory for calculating the rabbit remembers you can see that infomormation which includes of memory for other things such remembered patterns doesnt.
For other things such remembered patterns doesnt present itself again to assessing animals it would not remember it or advantage we are studies that if the brain and remembers you nor your reactions to say you and your name but also feeling an incoming missile forget it doesnt remember quite well thats basically food and must be used in soon in.
My drift and said here comes jane it doesnt present itself again to your senses tell when you rule out things such remembered patterns doesnt remember.
For example what do they lose all thoughts of everything for example what do they eat and when to swim away.

I’m pretty sure that they ………. what was the question again?

yes they have a very short memory they’ve tested this on mythbusters but not 3 seconds and it is their instinct to swim just like us bresthing
Comment by asasassas — December 8, 2009 @ 2:00 pm
that’s what i heard. swimming and eating is in their instincts.
Comment by Rachelle78 — December 9, 2009 @ 11:41 pm
They don’t.
It’s already proven that goldfish have a memory of over 48 hours on mythbusters and in books. whoever made that up is just being dumb.
