(Maybe she qualified because she was over 16 in dog-years? Or maybe since all the scores in gymnastics are totally subjective anyway, maybe ages are also subjective in gymnastics?). On a related note, while it might be completely illegal to have gymnasts under 16 competing, what advantage would China have gained by using people who were too young? I think it's amazing that girls that young were good enough to compete with older competitors and still win.
