From estimates I&#8217;ve heard the US gold reserve has at least $150 billion in gold. Why doesn&#8217;t it put part of that (say $50 billion) on the market to simultaneously lower gold prices and raise the value of the dollar? I&#8217;m certainly not an economist and just wondering out loud, but it seems to make sense.<br/><br/>Shawnta</div>
